By Gerald R. Gartzke

I can think of no load
     more difficult to carry
     than the burden of other
      people’s expectations.
      What we avoid and fear
            we become.
  Good does not always triumph,
           faith does.
             In death
      no earthly possessions
         can help a soul.
     Strong faith meshes what
          you want to do
and what you ought to do.
       Judging is for God.
  Blame is for little children.
My voice is soft and simple.
        My soul cries out
         no one can hear.
       Thought should come
          before speech.
    Silence has great wisdom.
